2026 Weekly Developer Notes

  • Hello Everyone, today's update will be quite big, as we want to give everyone a full update on everything.

    Additionally, we also want to announce that Developer Notes will return to a weekly schedule. This will be posted between monday and tuesday.

    We also are changing the numbered Developer Notes into a date format.

What are we working on and what is the plan for patch 3.0?
  • Patch 3.0 will be one of our biggest updates, it will be even bigger then our patch 1.0. We really want to give the players a patch they deserve. More details below.

    However due to its size and the amount of changes and reworks we want to do, this patch will obviously take a decent amount of time to develop, implement and test. With that we dont want to give a full date for this release, mainly because we can't give the community a acurate answer.

    That being said, what is coming in the mean time? Well we have already begun some of it, We plan to keep patching and fixing various issues and add some more pieces of content and QoL changes.

    The smaller updates that will become a weekly / biweekly thing. We really want to ensure that we fix most of the current issues and QoL updates our players have been asking before we reach the version 3.0 milestone.

What will be on the Patch 3.0?
  • Patch 3.0 will contain some brand new systems such as a new rune / niveot system that is being completely re-done into a more interactive system while keeping the simplicity that makes niveots great.

    In addition to the above, our gear methods and systems will also change quite a bit. We want this gearing update to feel refreshing and new that focuses more on fun and options. Some systems that will also be changing in regarding to gear are: Etchings, Crush/Lacerate, Infusions, Item Exp and more.

    However gear is just the tip of what we plan to do. We are making some brand new dungeons, reworking some older ones such has a full rework and re-design of "The Observatory" and "Phantom's Hideout". We are also taking a focus on solo content to ensure players dont feel locked out when playing on less active hours.

    Speaking of Lower Activity hours, we are also developing a brand new system that may or may not involve various regions around the world.

    On top of all of this we are also doing some reworks and changes around the entire world of TERA. We want to make sure that regardless of your play style you will have a better experiance including PvP.

Besides Patch 3.0 is anything happening?
  • As we said above we are working on various smaller updates but that is not all! One of the things that is being re-designed is the developer question and suggestion systems. We have got feedback on various issues this system has, as such we are planning to do various reworks on them to ensure they are as interactive as possible and allow players to communicate directly with us.

    This rework is also the main reason why most of the suggestions are currently on "Pending" Status. As we plan to transfer them to this new system so we can properly discuss and respond to them.

    On top of that we are also finally taking advantange of our social medias that have been a bit of a ghost town since launch. This will begin with X and later on Youtube with us release teases and small updates on both!

    We would also love for our players to give us more ideas of what they would like to see us do both in game but also on discord etc. And as such we encorage all players to let us know there thoughts and suggestions!

With all of the above the update is finished and we will now respond to some direct questions our players made!
  • "Has the project concerning the separation between Elin ear and hair accessories begun?" / "Some of the premium outfit designs are still missing their alpha textures"
    • Currently we do not have a artist available to finish both issues, Im currently (Omikami) looking into adjusting them myself but may take 2 or 3 updates until we begin to release said fixes.

  • "How to go to azart base whitout elixir?"
    • Elixirs can be purchased on the shops in Island of Dawn. If there is a specific place that cannot be reached even with those please let us know via our Ticket System. Please take note that Azart Elixir's effects only work after you've finished the Exodor Story Quest line. (you can use the Elixir but the effects won't work).

  • "I would like to know if there is a possibility of putting the game's text in French, please." / "Do you plan to do the voices of the characters in French?"
    • Yes, we have plans to do a full game text translation to various languanges. However we currently do not have anyone that can do translations or check them, Which means our own means to do so to be using AI.

      This would make the translations quick to do but we may find alot of translation issues without a check. Do let us know if this is something you the players would be fine with!

      Now Voice wise we do not have any plans to adding it.

  • Hello Everyone, todays update will be a very small update.

    We been mostly working on background systems and the new patch. There isnt much to say about them yet!

    Due to that we might delay dev updates posts, since it would mostly be a copy paste of the previous one.

What are we working on?
  • We have continued working on our new Patch 3.0 Systems and Dungeons.

    1 of our brand new systems will also start its testing phase later this week.

    Patch 3.0 Gearing has been finished and will now finally start its full testing phase and balancing.

    We are also fixing more bugs and old issues. Small update will be coming this week.

  • Hello Everyone, todays update will be a small update as usual.

What are we working on this past week?
  • We have been improving and preparing the deployment of one of our major new features for the Patch 3.0. We wont give any details as to what that is just yet!

    Gearing is also having its systems made and tested by developers and should soon reach the testers

    We have also been working on some bug fixes and changes (small ones), that will go live this week!

What will we be doing this week:?
  • We plan to finish out the gear changes finally and continue with dungeon work. We also plan to make a new event for this week.

    Additionally we want to push some bug fixes and changes as mentioned above.

    We may also have a big downtime period later this week to deploy the major feature mentioned above for closed testing.

  • Hello Everyone, todays update will be a small update.

What are we working on this past week?
  • Gearing changes have been discussed and the new features are being tested out by the developers still to ensure they are good to test.

    Dungeons are mostly picked out and getting final planning adjustements.

    We are also noting out early feedback and bugs that are still not fixed and getting them good to go for the next version. We will likely do 1 or 2 small updates with this before our next main patch.

    We have also other features planned and they will be announced as we continue to work on the next main patch.

What will we be doing this week:?
  • We plan to finish out the developer testings on the gear and have testers being work on it as well as early feedback!

    We also plan to begin work on our brand new dungeons and reworks for this patch (Yes there will be brand new ones this time, and some that players have been asking for as well!).

    We will also be doing our usual bug fixes and general updates on stuff as they come.

General Update
  • Hello Everyone, todays update will be a small update.


    We are currently still discussing and planning out our Patch 3.0. Mainly a fully brand new gearing system and a brand new massive feature.

    As such there is not much of a update to give, as much of the work has been planning and some other general improvements and fixes.

    Next week we will be getting into more details as to what coming for this patch and a new Developer Notes format!

What's Next
  • Hello Everyone, Todays update will be based on what's coming after Patch 2.1.


    With this patch finally done, we will be taking this incoming week to fix issues that may popup as well as to refine our incoming plans for the next patch, Patch 3.0

    3.0 will of course include brand new, reworked, and returning dungeons! As well as brand new gearing systems and much more.

    Since it is still quite early we will not be giving much more details, as we also want to refine them further during this week.

    This incoming week we will also refresh the Arborea Express Shop with new items and event quests!

Next Patch Status and Notes
  • v2.1 is currently having its final checks done, Release Date will be announced soon!
    This patch has got some delays due to burnout, we are now back at near full speed and will start work on Patch 3.0 right after the release of Patch 2.1.
    Expect Big news and some dungeons the community have been asking about to also be release!

  • Dungeons: All normal dungeons are ready!

  • Brand New and Reworked Dungeons: A new Dungeon is now on the final checks.

  • Progression: Gear Progression is ready!

Next Patch Status
  • v2.1 is currently in the works and on target for its release date this month!

  • Dungeons: All normal dungeons are now ready to be released and final checks are being done.

  • Brand New and Reworked Dungeons: 1 of the Dungeons is now being tested and checked, 2nd dungeon is still in development (This dungeon might be delayed for a mini patch afterwards!).

  • Progression: This patch progression has been decided, implemented and tested! We are now adjusting some values and final tests.

General Update
  • New Character Glyph Issue:
    • The glyph issue has been fixed and tested, it will be released later today!

Next Patch Status
  • v2.1 is currently in the works and on target for its release date (Will be announced soon)!
    This Notes will still be a small update on 2.1 Patch.

  • Dungeons: More then half of the new Dungeons are now balanced and ready, remaining ones are still being balanced! (Stay Sharp over on Previews!)

  • Brand New and Reworked Dungeons: 1 of the Dungeons is now nearly finished and will very soon start its balancing and testing, 2nd dungeon is still in development.

  • Progression: We are currently still discussing how we will handle future Progressions and gearing since this is quite a tought topic, Some adjustments will be coming this week already. We hopefully will have more info on the next Developer Notes

General Update
  • NGSP Updates:
    • We are currently still looking into lancer issues.


  • Launcher Updates:
    • We are finaly done with all the changes, Right now we are ready to release it but still waitting on some translations to be delivered!

    This Notes will be a small update on 2.1 Patch.

  • Dungeons: Most Dungeons for this patch are currently being tested and balanced!

  • Brand New and Reworked Dungeons: This patch there will be 2 new dungeons, both are still in development.

  • Progression: We are currently still discussing how we will handle future Progressions and gearing, More updates will follow on the next Developer Notes

General Update
  • NGSP Updates:
    • This week we plan to release a update to adjust some of the current Lancer issues.


  • Game Updates:
    • This week we also plan to fix a few more bugs if time allows while we continue work on Patch 2.1


  • Launcher Updates:
    • We are still doing final adjustments and translations, Apologies for the extra delay on this release.

General Update
  • Hello Everyone, Todays update will be based on what will be coming this week as usual!


  • Game and NGSP Updates:
    • We are currently focusing on finishing some pending work and Patch 2.1. With new Systems and Dungeons already in the works and in testing!

      Due to the above factor, updates may slow down a bit, However we still intend to keep fixing the missing bugs and some more suggestions while working on the new patch.
      We have also finally started fixing some head accessory positions.

    • When it comes to NGSP, this week we will be taking care of issues with Lancer Chain skills and Reaper issues regarding UI Display for Dark Harvest. Stay sharp!

    • We are also aware of a issue with the relic upgrade costs, it will be fixed today!


  • Discord Updates:
    • We have finished our new Suggestion System and have begun Discord Overall, As we warned yesterday you may lose access to certain channels for a bit of time!


  • Launcher Updates:
    • We are still doing final adjustments and translations, Apologies for the extra delay on this release.



Community Questions
  • "Any possibility of a 1v1 battleground?" / "If so, could it include healers?"
    • PvP has been put a bit aside as we continue focus on PvE side of the game, However we in the team liked the idea for a 1v1 battleground. We will not give a date yet however we will add it!

  • "Would it be possible for guardian missions to be per character and not per account?" / "Would it be possible to add more single-player missions to farm them?"
    • No, Guardian Legions will stay account wide!
    • We do have a new single-player instance in the works and will likely be released on Patch 2.1.

  • "Is there plan to balance crit ratio for dds with priest and mystic party to have one set of gear which will work with both heal class? "
    • Healer Crit Factor buffs will be staying as is for the time being, since its very easy and simple to adapt to each healer class.

  • "Is it possible to make pristine relic and halidom rollable"
    • Not with current Retail Systems, as making the item rollable will require said item to be soulbound to your character whenever you pick it up. We are working on a new system to add this possibility however no date as of now.

  • "Are you planning to rework the guild leveling process and how EXP rates work?"
    • Guilds are planned to get a rework soon, both in terms of skills / leveling process but also dedicated guild dungeons and or instances.

  • "Is the head change size planned to be implemented in the future? And what about the 1 hour joke items to throw on other players to make their body or head super big or super small?"
    • No, however this is something we have now added to the our lists, No date yet as well since it was just added.

General Update
  • Hello Everyone, Todays update will be based on what will be coming this week!

    Developer Notes are now aimed to be released every Monday Evening!


  • Game and NGSP Updates:
    • This week will be about the same as last week, we will continue to work on our incoming patch and continue to fix a bunch of old bugs. More Information about Patch 2.1 will be released on the next Developer Notes.

      We will also continue to adjust NGSP, Dungeons and Classes as further data comes in.
      Forsaken Island Hard Mode and Abyssal Prison will be receiving some needed updates today!

      Make sure to give us your input for up-coming dungeons over at Discord.


  • Discord Updates:
    • We are releasing today a new Question Forum!
      This Forum will be used for us developers to more easily answer and manage community submited questions.

    • When it comes to normal suggestions we are currently making a new system for discord to better organize and allow the community to vote on them more easily.

    • We are also planning to release the Word Boss and Golden Guardian Notifications as well as Events. No Date yet for this feature.


  • Launcher Updates:
    • The new Launcher is a bit delayed, however it is already being tested and will be release this week!



Community Questions
  • "What are your plans regarding classes?"
    • For now we plan to adjust and fix current issues, However we have a brand new system to add more choices and playstyles to each class, those choises will be very easy to swap and test!

      This System will be roled out on 1 or 2 classes first to gage community feedback before we add it to more!

  • "What Happens to the old Bug Report Posts and what will happen to the Suggestion Posts?"
    • Old Bug report posts are being archived which means a copy of its content is being made and stored before the post is deleted off discord!

      Suggestions will follow the same system, this week, we will be going through all of them. Implementing a couple and archiving all of them before we change to the new Suggestion System.

General Update
  • Hello Everyone, Todays update will be based on what will be coming this week!

    When it comes to the Patch 2.1 we are still planning and testing new features on our developer servers. We do not want to reveal what it will contain just yet!


  • Game Updates:
    • As we mentioned on the last Developer Notes, this week we will continue adjusting class balancing and other general improvements!
      Ninja and Berserker Tank are the next 2 classes to get some extra changes and adjustements.
      We also plan to hopefully start fixing most older bugs and issues!


  • NGSP Updates:
    • For those that have checked out latest Patch Notes you may already know that yes, we are now resuming work on our NGSP!
      This week you can expect further updates to class lockon's and Archers Rapid Fire. More updates may follow this week as well.


  • Discord Updates:
    • We are aware that discord, most specifically the Suggestions and Bug Report Forums are on a pretty messy state.
      On this incoming week we will be fixing and cleaning up out Bug Reports Forum and Hopefully release a improved suggestion system.

    • We will also be releasing a new system for players to leave more private questions or suggestions, This ones may be brought on Developer Notes or QnA Streams (Yes we want to do those more often!)

    • On top of all the above we are also planning to finally adding a new channel for World Bosses and Golden Guardian notifications!


  • Launcher Updates:
    • This week we will also release the next version of our lancher with improved interfaces, features, multi language support and more!

  • Hello everyone,
    This dev update will focus on what is to come and what we have been doing since the release of the Patch 2.0.
    But before we begin we would like to thank all the players that came to try and enjoy our Patch 2.0 and for giving this server another chance after previous mistakes.
    We would also want to promise all the players that we will keep up the work and continue to listen to our players as best as we can!

General Update
  • Since the 2.0 Patch release the dev team has been taking a bit of a break due to holidays and to enjoy the game ourselfs, while fixing issues and making adjustements based on community feedback.


What is Next?
  • Now for this upcoming week we will continue to focus on fixing any issue that appears as well as fixing a decent chunk of issues that haven't been patched yet. So Players can expect almost daily updates and adjustements as we want to make sure this patch is the best it can be.

  • We will also start work on our Patch 2.1 in parallel with the above, this patch is planned to be release on the start of February.

  • A more detailed Roadmap for Patch 2.1 will be posted this upcoming week as well as more information regarding its plans.
